Sales and invoicing
Ask emily about sales and invoices the way you'd ask a colleague, and get back figures from your own ERP.
Ask her like you'd ask a colleague
Say or type things like:
- "How much did we sell this week?"
- "What did we invoice [Client] last month?"
- "How many invoices went out today?"
- "What are our sales so far this quarter, compared to last?"
Each one comes back with an answer to that question. If she doesn't have it, she says so — see when emily does not know.
The shape of an answer
Ask "how much did we sell this month?" and you'll get something like:
| Client | This month |
|---|---|
| [Client A] | [total] |
| [Client B] | [total] |
| [Client C] | [total] |
| Total | [sum] |
These are placeholder figures to show the shape of the answer — not numbers from any real account.
Narrow however you like
Follow up with a client, a product, or a time period, and she stays inside the same conversation rather than making you start over: "and just for [Product]?", "and last quarter?", "and who are our top 5 clients this month?" See naming a company, a period or a rep for more on narrowing a question.
Works the same on either connection
Sales and invoice figures read the same whether your organisation uses the standard or the direct ERP connection — see connect your ERP for what the two options cover. It's stock and purchasing questions that need the direct connection, not these.
Next: customer balances and overdue debts
