When emily does not know
She says so plainly when a question falls outside what's connected or what you're allowed to see.
She says so, rather than guessing
If a question can't be answered — the data isn't connected, the query comes back empty, or you're asking about something outside what you're scoped to see — emily tells you plainly instead of filling in a number that sounds about right.
- Ask a stock question on the standard connection, and she'll say that needs the direct connection instead of guessing at a figure. See products and stock.
- Ask about a topic outside what you've been given access to — margins, for example, when you're scoped to sales only — and she'll say you don't have access to that, rather than a number that happens to be close.
Not a bug
A plain "I don't have that" is the expected answer here, not a failure. It's the same standard covered in full in she never invents numbers and access by person, company and topic — this page is just where it shows up while asking about your business.
A made-up figure is worse than an honest "I don't know" — so when the data or the permission isn't there, that's what you get instead.
What to do next
If the refusal is about a connection, see connect your ERP. If it's about what you're allowed to see, ask an admin — access is set per person, per company and per topic, and only an admin can widen it.
