Activity history

Every create, update and link change carries who, what, when and where it came from, alongside a deal's own Activity tab; deletes are soft and restricted to admins and managers, except tasks and a deal's attachments, which any user can remove.

Who, what, when, and where it came from

Every change emily makes to a company, contact, deal, note or task is recorded with who made it, what changed, when, and which channel it came from — web chat, browser voice or WhatsApp. Changes you make by hand on the screens are recorded the same way: dragging a deal to a new stage, editing a Description, uploading a file or taking one off a deal.

It's not only deletes that get recorded. Creating a record, updating one of its fields, and linking one record to another — attaching a contact to a company, or a document to a deal — are each written to the same history.

A deal has its own Activity tab

A deal carries its own Activity tab alongside its notes, listing that deal's recorded history in one place rather than making you piece it together from elsewhere. Like deleting a record, viewing this tab is limited to admins and managers.

Assigning a task records who assigned it

Handing a task to a teammate is recorded the same way as any other change, and it carries both sides of it — who the task went to, and who assigned it — not just the new owner's name on its own. See assigning and delegating tasks for how the handoff itself works.

Deletes are soft, and mostly restricted

Deleting a company, contact, deal or note doesn't erase it outright — it's a soft delete, and it's restricted to admins and managers. A rep can create and update records within their own access, but deleting one of these isn't something a rep can do.

Two exceptions: tasks, and a deal's attachments

Any user can delete a task, not only admins and managers. Any user can also take an attachment off a deal — and that one isn't soft: the file itself doesn't come back, so it's worth being sure first. See attachments on a deal.

Both are things you do on the screens. Neither is something to ask emily for — she has no way to delete a task or remove an attachment for you. Companies, contacts, deals and notes still need an admin or a manager.
