Task comments

A comment thread on a task, separate from a note on any record — add a comment and read the thread back, each one showing who wrote it.

A thread on the task itself

Every task carries its own comment thread, open and closed with a Comments toggle wherever the task shows — on the Tasks screen, or against the company, contact or deal it's linked to. Ask emily to add a comment, or type one in directly, and it lands as its own entry on that thread rather than changing the task itself.

Reading it back

Ask emily what's been said on a task and she reads the thread back in the order it was written, oldest first — the same order it's shown in on screen. Each comment carries the name of whoever wrote it, so a thread more than one person has added to stays clear about who said what. A task with nothing on it yet simply has no comments.

Not the same as a note

A task comment is its own thing, kept apart from a note logged against a company, a contact or a deal. A note is a dated entry on that record's own timeline; a task comment lives on the task itself, and only there. See notes for how a note works and where it shows up.

Where it works

CRM works on web chat, browser voice and WhatsApp. Not on a phone call.

Next: Opening a record

See opening a record for jumping straight to the company, contact or deal behind a task's link.
