Contacts
Ask emily to look up, create or update a contact — their job title, email, phone and description — and see how each one attaches to a company.
Look one up
Ask for a person by name — "quem é o nosso contacto na Acme?" — and emily brings up what's on file for them, along with the company they belong to.
What a contact record holds
Alongside their name, a contact carries a Job title, an Email address, a Phone number and a free-form Description — a multi-line block of text, separate from a contact's notes (see notes for that dated timeline). They also belong to a company, which is required: every contact belongs to exactly one company. A photo can be added too, from an Upload photo (or Change photo) control on the contact's own detail pane.
Create one
Mention a new person the same way you'd bring them up in conversation — "guarda o contacto do João na Acme" — and emily creates the record and attaches it to the right company. She needs to know which company that is, and if it isn't clear from what you've said, she'll ask before creating the record.
Update one
Tell her about a change — a new detail, a correction — in plain language, and she updates the contact directly.
Attached to a company
Every contact belongs to a company, and that link is how the two stay connected: open the company and its contacts are listed there, or ask about a contact and their company comes with it. On the Contacts screen itself, people at the same company sit grouped together once there's more than one of them there. See companies for the other side of that link.
A contact can also be tied to a deal, alongside the company it belongs to — see deals.
Where it works
CRM works on web chat, browser voice and WhatsApp. Not on a phone call.
